As a Survivability Systems Engineer Asc., you will support the (SE) Special Disciplines Organization for the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) in Hunstville, AL within one or more of the following areas:
- Applying electrical, electronics and physics theories to execute various tasks related to Survivability field
- Ensuring that military space vehicle and missile designs, from the component level to the final level, will meet requirements during and after exposure to natural and man-made space radiation
- Conducting technical planning, specification requirements derivation, modeling and design, test planning and execution, documentation, requirements verification/validation to support overall needs and act as a technical consultant for customers
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related subject area
- Experience in Electrical simulation tools (e.g. SPICE, PSPICE, etc.)
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance, therefore U.
S. Citizenship is required
Desired Skills:
- Experience in Test laboratory environments and associated test subject areas and test equipment (e.g. data acquisition, oscilliscopes, spectrum analyzers and/or signal generators)
- Understanding of electronic, electrical, electromechanical and electrooptical (EEEE) components
- Basic understanding of Natural Space Radiation environments and/or man-made nuclear effects and Engineering
- Work and collaborate with peers and senior specialists from within and outside the group
- Organized and able to effectively multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Proven behaviors of a thinker with the ability to select and apply appropriate thinking skills to solve problems and implement constructive change

The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
