Job Description
A senior systems engineer supports the Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) Habitats Group Multi Purpose Hab (MPH) Project for Verification and Validation plan development and deliverables for Systems Requirements Review including development and modeling of the plan in MagicDraw.
Other specific duties include (but are not limited to):
- Provide systems-level interface requirements developments and management
- Provide inputs to and review of project architecture, design & documentation, and technical coordination
- export control compliance
- verification requirements development, verification planning, and problem resolution.
- Verification modeling using MagicDraw
- provide support in the discipline areas of avionics, software, power, ECLSS, structures, thermal, and communications, if/as needed by the Project.
Skills Required
A degree in Engineering, Math, CS/Engineering, or any Sciences field. ABET university preferred. - MS with at least 3+ years of experience, and/or
- BS with at least 8+ years of experience.
- Experience in technology development, operations, and systems engineering policies, principles, practices, and processes (including model-based systems engineering methodology).
- Systems engineering or integration experience with payloads or flight systems is required.
- Working knowledge of NASA or DoD Systems Engineering processes is required.
- Model-Based Systems Engineering experience required specifically with the MagicDraw tool.
- Independent initiative with good “follow-up” and organizational skills.
