This is your opportunity! Join now! Job Summary The Systems Engineer is responsible for the supervision, coordination, and execution of complex network and systems engineering tasks. This role involves supporting daily operations, performing hardware and software upgrades, and implementing network infrastructure to meet mission requirements. The engineer will troubleshoot at both the physical and logical levels, provide expert consultation to IT staff, and ensure the network meets performance, security, and reliability standards. This position requires strong proficiency in virtualization, communication protocols, and systems integration, along with the ability to develop technical documentation and contribute to system accreditation.

Responsibilities may include:

Supervise and perform changes to network hardware, operating systems, and attached devices through analysis, configuration, installation, and testing.
Provide operational support for network infrastructure by evaluating utilization, monitoring response time, and correcting system issues.
Troubleshoot issues at both the physical level, using measurement tools and hardware testing, and the logical level, working with communication protocols.
Participate in the planning, design, review, and implementation of new network infrastructure for voice and data communications.
Perform systems management and integration tasks to ensure cohesive operation across platforms.
Demonstrate expertise in virtualization technologies and network administration, including the maintenance of standards and protocols such as TCP/IP.
Provide technical consultation, support, and training to IT personnel as designated.
Diagnose and resolve complex communication and interoperability issues across systems.
Design, deploy, test, and certify storage and backup systems, ensuring all features and application dependencies are functioning correctly.
Maintain system currency with approved security patches and assist with system certification and accreditation.
Develop and maintain SOPs, quick reference guides, and other documentation to support user operations.
Requirements Required Minimum Education Education should be consistent with experience. Microsoft Windows Active Directory
Understanding of

NIST 800

series publications and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance Preferred Skills, Qualifications, Technical Experience, etc. VMWare vSphere 7 experience
Cisco Networking
Dell Server, and SAN Storage hardware experience
Familiarity with system accreditation and authorization and the FBI’s ATO processes
Experience evaluating, documenting, and managing

control implementations
Experience with GRC tools (RiskVision, Xacta and JCAM)
Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
VMware Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)
