DCS is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join our dedicated,fast-paced team in an Army program office. The ideal candidate hasaviation systems engineering experience working on ACAT programsand is able to communicate with all levels of program stakeholdersin a clear and concise manner. Flexibility and a proactive, get itdone attitude are the keys to success in this important role.

Essential Functions:

Manages systems engineering activitiesincluding requirements analyses, functional analyses, designsolutions formulation, systems analysis and control, and generationand maintenance of systems architecture products. Applies systemengineering principles and procedures to translate quantifiedneeds/requirements into system performance parameters and theidentification of system/item configuration. Formulates and issuessystems engineering documents, processes, procedures andmilestones. Requires a thorough knowledge of the SystemsEngineering Management Process and Implementation, as applied tothe Department of Army/DOD Acquisition process throughout all lifecycle phases; knowledge of DOD policies on Systems Engineering,Integrated Product and Process Development (IPPD) and IPTManagement; and ability to coordinate and negotiate design andengineering activities with other related programs andorganizations. Provides expert and authoritative advice affectingcritical programs and technologies. Serves as subject matter expertfor all technical aspects of assigned program. Performs top leveldesign, development, integration, testing, installation, andtroubleshooting. Translates military operational and missionrequirements into practical system concepts and performancespecifications. Develops and maintains technical documentation suchas specifications, engineering drawings, system interfacerequirements, and engineering changes. Participates in post awards,program reviews, design reviews, and IPTs as the project engineerand/or technical expert on assigned programs. Evaluates designefforts to ensure integration of all the engineering disciplinesand adequacy of the analyses performed, bringing in additionaltechnical expertise as needed. Reviews test plans, procedures, andreports for technical adequacy on assigned programs, for bothGovernment and contractor tests, as well as all failure reports.

Reviews and evaluates system performance against specificationrequirements, monitors and assesses field performance, and assessesrisk of meeting user and specification requirements. Initiatesengineering change proposals and waivers/deviations as required andconduct physical and functional configuration audits. Reviewsprogram management documents to ensure accuracy and adequacy oftechnical content.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity ofcustomer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 12 years relevant experience.

Must have a DoD Secret clearance. Subject matter expert for SystemsEngineering and has the ability to lead engineering efforts onassigned programs with minimal oversight from the Government lead.

Equivalent or experience commensurate with DAWIA Level II SPRDEcertification.
