Job Description
This position is for a senior systems engineer to support the Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) Habitats Group Multi-Purpose Hab (MPH) Project for Verification and Validation plan development and deliverables for Systems Requirements Review including development and modeling of the plan in MagicDraw.
Other specific duties include (but are not limited to):
Provide systems-level interface requirements developments and managementProvide inputs to and review of project architecture, design and documentation, and technical coordinationExport control complianceVerification requirements development, verification planning, and problem resolution.
Verification modeling using MagicDrawProvide support in the discipline areas of avionics, software, power, ECLSS, structures, thermal, and communications, if/as needed by the Project.
Job Requirements:
A degree in Engineering, Math, CS/Engineering, or related field is required. A degree from an ABET accredited university is preferred. Typically, educational requirements are the equivalent of an MS with at least 3+ years of experience or a BS with at least 8+ years of experience.
Experience in technology development, operations, and systems engineering policies, principles, practices, and processes (including model-based systems engineering methodology).Systems engineering or integration experience with payloads or flight systems is required.
Working knowledge of NASA or DoD Systems Engineering processes is required.
Model-Based Systems Engineering experience required specifically with the MagicDraw tool.
Independent initiative with good follow-up and organizational skills.
