  TEKsystems is seeking a VMware/VDI Systems Administrator to manage and optimize a complex virtualized infrastructure with a strong emphasis on OpenShift and VMware Cloud Foundation.

The role involves supporting secure, multi-zoned lab environments, implementing VDI solutions, and ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with deep technical expertise and a passion for delivering reliable, scalable systems.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct customer service and technical support to local and remote users as required via phone, e-mail, on-line systems and in person.
• Perform implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management.
• Manages a VMware vSphere Infrastructure and Horizon VDI environment in support of several labs within a multi-zoned environment.
• Manages the functionality of servers and computers running Windows/Linux operating systems such as (RHEL, CentOS, Windows 10, Windows Server) within an Active Directory environment.
• Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems.
• Assist in creation and maintenance of system documentation such as SOPs and policies.
• Implementing Information Assurance (IA) systems and practices such as DISA STIGs, RMF and system hardening.
• Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
• Provides advice and training to end-users.
• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

Requirements:

• Active Secret clearance
• CompTIA Security+ce
• Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of experience OR 10+ years of equivalent experience
• OpenShift Infrastructure & VMware Cloud Foundation
• Experience in deploying, managing, and troubleshooting OpenShift clusters and integrating with VMware environments.
• Cybersecurity Compliance (DISA STIGs, RMF)
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience implementing DoD cybersecurity standards and hardening systems accordingly.
