Franklin, TN, location of major company has an opening for aSystems Engineer who will be a member of the technical teamprimarily responsible for server hardware, server software, virtualmachines, and other IT operations. The following is a list of the main essential duties andresponsibilities of the position: ?Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, andsupport of server operating systems, software packages, underlyingnetwork systems at our corporate and branch office locations incompliance with business processing requirements. ?Works with many different software solutions/tools (i.e.anti-virus, encryption, communications/messaging, help desk,inventory, web servers, monitoring, etc.) ?Schedules, monitors, and tests backups and various types ofreplication. ?Schedules and performs installations and upgrades in accordancewith established IT policies and procedures. ?Assists in the development and implementation of policies andprocedures to ensure effective and efficient operation of theInformation Systems department ?Will provide support to client/server based applications and serveas a second tier level of support for the help desk staff. ?Conducts periodic server and network device audits to ensurecompliance with established standards, policies, and configurationguidelines. ?Maintains a comprehensive operating system, hardware, and softwaredatabase/library as well as supporting documentation. ?Monitors LAN, WAN, and Servers; including performanceevaluations. ?Assists Network Engineers with local area and wide area networkingdevices, as needed. ?Acts independently or in concert with others on projects withoutthe need for close supervision. ?Will perform other duties and functions as assigned by the ITmanagement staff.
Qualifications:
?Bachelor?s Degree in Information Technology preferred. ?Several years of Server/Networking support experience in acorporate environment. ?
MCSA/MCSE 2000/2003
