Position Title:
Project Leader Location:
175 Addison Rd, Ste. 6F, Windsor, CT 06095 and unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S.
Position Responsibilities:
Study system level documents and objective business wants to achieve with control system implementation. Coordinate with the lead engineers, system engineer and test engineers to make suggestions and recommendation on what control strategy to use and what technology will best suit system requirement. Meeting with lead systems engineer to gather the system requirements for new products. Analyze inputs and collected requirements and make a functional specification document to document new requirements and feature requests. Schedule design reviews to discuss the new requirements with the team. Perform traceability analysis to highlight new requirements and review the requirements with principal engineer and other subsystem engineers. Identify the gaps in the requirements and notify the lead systems engineer. Coordinate with lead controls engineer to go through the new requirements and understand the functional implications of the changes and to identify any gaps in the requirements. Define the scope of the release and get team lead and manager to sign-off on the scope. Based on various functional and non-functional requirements, evaluate possible technical solutions for the scope of the project.
Position Requirements:
Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, PLUS one (1) year of experience in the job offered or a related position. Experience must include demonstrable knowledge of: DOORs; Polarion; MATLAB;
SIMULINK
; validation & integration testing; safe operating procedures for electrical & electronic components; PID controllers; control system development for embedded hardware systems, and; system & subsystem validations & functionalities. Required knowledge may be gained prior to or concurrently with Master’s degree. Travel to unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S. approximately 5% as required.
