Summary New Venture Research Corporation (NVRC) is a leading provider of innovative technology solutions supporting critical defense programs. We are currently seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) in Panama City Beach, FL. Join our team of experts in developing, deploying, and sustaining advanced technology systems that support critical defense operations. Tasks and Duties The Systems Engineer provides critical engineering support for IT systems related to Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR). Focusing on the implementation and enhancement of mission-critical systems, this role applies comprehensive engineering practices to develop and improve complex systems supporting DoD missions. The Systems Engineer will contribute to the development and architecture of these systems, ensuring they meet performance, security, and reliability requirements. This position requires a strong understanding of systems engineering principles and experience working within the defense industry. Key Responsibilities Provide engineering support for C5ISR systems development and sustainment Conduct trade-off studies to evaluate technology solutions Support adaptation and integration of C5ISR systems in various operational environments Maintain technical documentation including system designs and specifications Implement network-centric and service-oriented architecture best practices Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical challenges Evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies in systems engineering for applicability to C5ISR systems Required Minimum Qualifications Systems development, design, and build experience for C5ISR platforms and systems Strong understanding of network-centric architecture Experience with DoD technical standards Preferred Qualifications Advanced industry certifications such as: Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert), and/or JNCIE (Juniper Network Certified Expert) Required Education and Length of Experience Bachelors degree in systems engineering, computer science, or related field
3 years of experience in C5ISR systems and DoD/Navy enterprise IT architectures Travel Requirements Travel up to 25% will be required. U.S. Citizenship Requirements Due to our contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be U.S. Citizens. Clearance Type Required Candidates must be able to maintain an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain up to TS/SCI, if required by the position.
