Systems Engineer- Air Compressor DivisionThis position sells aircompressor products using technical, organizational, and customerknowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying theproducts to their needs resulting in revenue generation. Providesinput and participates in marketing of air compressorproducts.
Essential Job Functions Develop sales proposals of air compressor products forcustomers and professionally present proposals to plant engineers,maintenance personnel, purchasing agents, and/or companyexecutives. Research and evaluate customer application in order to properlysize and develop a system layout that meets the customer’sneeds. Conduct air system surveys to aid in customers’ air systemunderstanding, and to provide precise engineered solutions. Ensure the establishment of industry contacts and develop alist of potential customers. Follow up on sales leads and make cold calls. Maintain updated understanding of industry trends, technicaldevelopments, and government regulations that affect targetmarkets. Proactively take action to close sales and finalizecontracts. Resolve customer’s problems with product and/or services. Follow up on product deliveries and set proactive expectationswith customer for ongoing vendor/customer relationship. Monitor and work within established expense allowance. Generate detailed proposal; provide PMU and customer PO toSales Coordinator for order processing.
Additional JobFunctions Establish and maintain a sub-dealer network within geographicterritory, including training the sub-dealer and assisting themwith the financial aspect of the business. Assist Accounts Receivable to collect payment and financialdocuments from customers when necessary. Establish and maintain a teamwork approach in the area ofaftermarket products and service departments in order to developand maintain customer loyalty.
Experience and SkillsRequiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities (including physical and workenvironment) Well developed sales and presentation skills. Computer literacy is required, including a working knowledge ofapplications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Basic mechanical and technical aptitude including geometric andother mathematical formulas. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to establish a solid relationship withmanufacturer. Proven interpersonal skills with both internal and externalcustomers. Basic marketing knowledge. Must be able to handle high pressure situations and adapt wellto changes in the market.
Minimum Job Qualifications (education,work experience, licenses/certifications)- Bachelor’s degree or 3to 5 years of sales experience (industrial sales preferred), or anequivalent combination of education and experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
