Kavaliro is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer III to lead theanalysis of customer requirements and contribute to the design,development, and implementation of advanced real-time systems usedin operator and maintenance training devices. This role alsoincludes mentoring junior engineers and collaborating across teamsto ensure technical excellence. Key Responsibilities Translate customer requirements into a comprehensive traceabilitymatrix, using input from specifications, SOWs, and other keydocumentation. Evaluate technical needs and propose architectural solutionsgrounded in a strong understanding of both hardware andsoftware. Design and implement real-time systems that support operator andmaintenance training functionality. Participate in technical reviews (SETR) and in-progress updates(IPRs), ensuring that issues raised are documented and resolvedappropriately. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project scope,deadlines, and budgets are met. Support system testing efforts, both on-site with customers andduring early development phases. Work alongside the business development team to produce accurateand professional responses to RFPs, RFIs, and similar requests. Create documentation that meets Contract Data Requirements List(CDRL) standards. Provide guidance and support to less experienced engineers. Safely manage government-furnished equipment and sensitivematerials. Maintain a standard work schedule and be open to occasionalovertime. Take on additional responsibilities as needed. Required Skills and Qualifications Strong knowledge of simulation systems and the ability to recommendtailored solutions based on customer needs. A proactive, self-directed mindset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong time management and prioritization abilities. Comfortable taking direction from senior engineers or managers. Eligible to obtain a security clearance if required. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in engineering plus 5+ years of systemsengineering (or related) experience; OR Bachelor’s in Computer Science with 7+ years in a related field;OR High school diploma with 11+ years of relevant engineeringexperience.
