About the role:
As an IT Architect, you’ll help design the Retirement product foundation for how our global fintech platforms perform and scale. Your expertise will influence selecting, operating and administering systems and software for our environment that supports vital business processes. Hands on experience level with the FIS Retirement applications as well as the following technologies: Azure and AWS, security, LAN / WAN Network and Security, DB2 and
IBM IIDR.
The person in this role will be required to travel to the TRP office periodically.
What you will be doing:
Partner with Enterprise Infrastructure, Network and Security teams to define secure and scalable system integration patterns to support business.
Create Solution Architecture applications across AWS, Azure,
with minimal downtime, for a business solutions that meet the following criteria:
Business requirements
Nonfunctional requirements
Fits within Enterprise architecture or identifies need to expand enterprise architecture
Accommodates all the trade offs required to balance business need, project schedule, project cost, risk, etc.
Supports a phased implementation approach as needed
During a project’s Implementation Phase, the solution architect will:
Partner with lead BA to ensure requirements gathering includes all information required to determine the solution architecture
Research solutions
Perform POC evaluations
Recommend an implementation approach
Facilitate discussions around approach alternatives with Business
Communicate the solution to the development/implementation team
Identify and help resolve technical dependencies between implementation teams
Help resolve issues with the architecture raised during implementation
Gatekeep the solution to ensure it is implemented according to architecture
Review solution designs to ensure alignment with the solution architecture and business need
The candidate will have experience creating the following artifacts:
Context Diagrams
Component Relationship diagrams
Sequence Diagrams
Volumetrics Documentation
7+ years of Retirement Industry experience Knowledge of FIS Retirement applications is a plus

The pay range for this full-time position is $117,620.00 – $197,580.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
