Platform Engineer (Site Reliability Engineer) Position Available In Escambia, Florida

Toprovide technical direction and engineering support for projectsand infrastructure. Develop and maintain advanced functionalknowledge of evolving IT engineering industrytechnologies/competition, concepts and trends.

Site Reliability:

Responsible for the development andimplementation of site reliability processes that increaseefficiency, eliminate downtime, and elevate performance forinternally critical and/or externally visible systems. They focusin the areas of software design/engineering and systemsarchitecture including, but not limited to, automation,reliability, monitoring, and systems integration. Responsibilities Respond to incidents and determine preventative solutions Troubleshoot complex reliability and performance issues Participate in 24×7 on-call rotation Automate manual processes, evolve monitoring tools, and developtechnical documentation Support a highly available and large scale environment Lead integration of other Navy Federal Enterprise technologies Research, evaluate, recommend, and implement solutions that alignwith business needs and objectives Use holistic knowledge of all products in the informationtechnology ecosystem to help plan how new systems will be built andintegrated Review solutions to ensure alignment with customer objectives,organization guidelines/benchmarks and industry best practices Create operational artifacts, play/run-books and Service LevelAgreement/Objective documents Provide technical assistance (swarm/pair) routinely with otherengineers Identify potential problems in design, quality, or operation andinitiate discussions/corrective action Identify opportunities to effectively mitigate risk and improveperformance and functionality Drive system testing including evaluation, verification &validation activities Install, maintain, configure, and monitor systems infrastructureand container infrastructure on a widely distributed network Provide forward thinking technical expertise in current andemerging technologies, trends and practices Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Experienced in supporting and developing with a ConfigurationManagement Enterprise tool (e.g. Ansible Automation Platform) Experienced in developing with Infrastructure Management tool (e.g.

Terraform) Experienced in supporting an Infrastructure Management Enterprisetool (e.g. Terraform Enterprise) Experienced in supporting an Enterprise Tool for ContainerManagement (e.g. OpenShift, Tanzu, Kubernetes) Experienced in developing and utilizing ContinuousIntegration/Deployment pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, Concourse, GitHubActions, Tekton) Experienced in programing languages (e.g. Python, Go,Javascript) Developing custom scripts or applications to automate systemsimplementation, configuration, or management Agile software development practices Understanding of Networking protocols and standard networkarchitectures Working knowledge of engineering discipline Advanced Understanding of end-to-end IT processes Advanced research, analytical, and problem-solving skills Advanced collaboration, critical thinking, and presentationskills Effective organizational, planning and time management skills Effective skill exercising initiative and using good judgment tomake sound decisions Effective skill guiding and training less experienced staff Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar field, or theequivalent combination of training, education, and experience
