Job Description
I have a great opportunity as a 100% Remote Systems Engineer for one of our larger clients. This is a 9-month long contract and below is the job description for your review. Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented engineer to assist with our DHCP infrastructure migration from
ISC DHCPD
to ISC KEA. This role is focused on planning, deploying, and verifying a production-grade
KEA DHCP
environment across multiple data centers with high availability, database backend integration, and automation pipelines.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of experience managing DHCP at scale in Linux environments.
- Strong experience with ISC DHCPD and ISC KEA (JSON configuration, classes, hooks).
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL or MySQL configuration and replication models. Solid understanding of DHCP relay agents, shared networks, and client lease behavior.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and IaC platforms like Ansible or Terraform.
- Strong Linux administration skills (RHEL 8/9 preferred).
