Overview:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Data Engineer with a strong background in relational data and SQL programming. The ideal candidate will have experience in building SSIS packages, Azure platform development, and a comprehensive understanding of the software development life cycle. This role requires a self-guided professional capable of managing multiple projects with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

SQL Programming and Data Management:

Utilize advanced SQL programming skills to analyze and manage data across various databases such as Snowflake, SQL Server, Teradata, and Hive.

SSIS Package Development:

Design and develop SSIS packages for data processing, including data movement between databases, working with text files, and other data sources.

Azure Platform Development:

Develop and maintain data solutions using Azure Data Factory, ensuring efficient data integration and processing.

Software Development Life Cycle:

Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including business requirements gathering, technical documentation, and quality assurance.

Stored Procedures and Functions:

Create and enhance stored procedures or functions for report feeds and other input/output processes.

MS SSRS Report Development:

Develop and maintain reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), ensuring accurate and timely delivery of business insights.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience working with relational data and SQL programming (Snowflake/SQL Server/Teradata/Hive or similar databases). Minimum of 2 years of experience in building SSIS packages for data processing. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Azure platform development (Data Factory). Minimum of 2 years of experience in MS SSRS report development. Proficiency in SQL programming, data analysis, and data management. Experience with the software development life cycle. Ability to work independently and understand data in physical tables or views. Proven ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
