Job Description As a Senior Reliability Engineer, you will work with amultidisciplinary maintenance team to determine the overallstrategy and plans for the department, providing expertise,knowledge, and guidance related to predictive and preventivemaintenance, equipment reliability, and condition monitoring. Youwill identify system constraints and implement continuousimprovement initiatives to ensure uninterrupted production whilereducing costs. Your responsibilities will include leading root cause analysis ofequipment failures, researching new reliability processes,evaluating existing systems, and establishing performance metrics.
You will act as a subject matter expert to identify and implementcorrective actions and technologies that enhance equipmentreliability and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate brings strong engineering experience, provenreliability-centered maintenance knowledge, and a proactiveapproach to safety and equipment integrity in an industrialenvironment. Duties and Responsibilities Identify system constraints andproactively pursue their elimination through continuous improvementcycles. Ensure continuous production is uninterrupted by equipmentfailures and reduce production costs. Develop maintenance methodsto improve process efficiency and reliability. Lead others and/orperform root cause analysis of equipment failures. Act as a subjectmatter expert and assist in the identification and implementationof corrective actions or technologies. Research new reliabilityprocesses and identify methods to predict and improve reliability.
Perform onsite evaluation of existing processes and equipment. Setexpectations within the department for precision maintenance.
Review and establish Key Performance Indices for equipment.
Identify PM opportunities and maintenance plans by leading failuremode and effect analysis. Analyze current CMMS data for equipmenthealth indicators and identify reports to measure healthindicators. Proactively develop and provide safety perspective forequipment and processes. Make recommendations for engineeringsolutions or methods to eliminate hazards. Required Experience/Skills Bachelor’s degree in an appropriateEngineering discipline and five (5) years related experience inEngineering, OR Master’s degree in appropriate Engineeringdiscipline and three (3) years related experience in Engineering.
Proficiency with MS Office suite including Microsoft Excel, Word,PowerPoint, and Project. Ability to listen and understandinformation and ideas and express thoughts and ideas clearly andconcisely through oral and written communication. Customer-focusedapproach to provide quality service to improve equipment andprocess reliability. Knowledge and understanding ofreliability-centered maintenance practices. Experience withengineering design drawings and schematics. Self-starter with solidintegrity. Understanding of the importance of safety, legality, andquality. Nice-to-Haves CMRP (Certified Maintenance & ReliabilityProfessional) Certification. Experience in industrial operationssimilar to those at the Miami facility. Background in implementingcontinuous improvement methodologies. Experience with reliabilitysoftware and predictive maintenance technologies.
