About The Role & Team:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr Systems Engineerto join a team responsible for maintaining the operationalefficiency and reliability of both our shipboard and shoresidesystems and services. In this role, you will work at theintersection of technology, guest experience, and operationalexcellence, ensuring that we continuously minimize downtime andoptimize the performance of our infrastructure. You will also drivethe seamless integration of advanced technologies in the cruiseindustry, aligning them with business needs and enhancing customerexperiences. This position requires a proven and experienced engineer inDevSecOps, desired state configurations, Kubernetes provisioningand support in both on-prem datacenters and cloud platforms, with afocus on maintaining high availability, scalability, and securityin critical systems. Supported platforms include, but aren’tlimited to web applications, mobile applications, POS systems,payment gateways, reservation systems, safety systems, and ordermanagement. You will also collaborate with various teams to deliverindustry-leading solutions that exceed guest expectations.

What You’ll Do:

Design, analyze, evaluate, test, debug and implement applicationssupporting company business processes and operations Analyze, install, acquire, modify, and support operating systems,database, or utilities software Plan, conduct, and direct the analysis of business problems to besolved with automated systems within a small scope or asdirected. Contribute to the development, testing, evaluation or design ofsystem or infrastructure architecture used throughout the ITsolution set Advanced knowledge of code for desktop applications, software APIs,and automation for use by internal engineering and creativepartners Aid in guiding teammates in the analysis and organization of commonbusiness problems to be solved with automated systems You will be expected to stay up to date with emergingtechnologies

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of related work experience Technical experience in consumer and employee facing enterprisesystems Ability to troubleshoot applications and systems Expertise in maintaining web, caching, and queuing technologies inlarge high traffic environments. Expertise in architecting highly scalable and highly availablesystems Expertise in a public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) Proficiency with containerization Proficiency in a programming language (Powershell, Python, Ruby,etc) Proficiency with distributed version control systems (e.g., GIT)with Continuous Integration/Deployment techniques (Azure DevOps,Jenkins, Harness, etc) Proficiency supporting SQL & Oracle technologies Comfortable working in an agile environment Proficiency in Kubernetes & Rancher, VMWare, DevSecOps, andAutomation, with a proactive demeanor towards continuous learningand skill development, and an interest in mastering emerging dataengineering tools and methodologies

Preferred Qualification:

Certifications in AWS, Azure, VMware, Kubernetes, or related cloudtechnologies. RedHat OpenShift experience preferred Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks
