General Description:

The Integration Developer is responsible for demonstrating ParrishHealthcare’s Culture of Choice and ensuring platform integrationand data interoperability within the organization. The IntegrationDeveloper will be responsible for integration engines such as MirthConnect, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, and Ensemble, MEDITECH EHR,protocols such as HL7, FHIR and CDA, as well as SQL databases,RESTful APIs, SOAP, and middleware platforms. This position worksclosely with project managers, technical teams, and stakeholders toensure seamless communication and efficient project execution. TheIntegration Developer assumes 24-hour responsibility andaccountability for assigned functional area(s). This positionreports to the

AVP/CNIO.

The position shall exemplify the desiredCulture of Choice and philosophies of Parrish Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and deploy interfaces to connecthealthcare systems using integration engines and middlewaresolutions. Implement and troubleshoot HL7 messages, including ADT(Admission, Discharge, Transfer), ORM (Order Message), and ORU(Observation Result). Leverage interoperability frameworks like FHIR and IHE profilesto ensure seamless data exchange between systems, including EHRs,laboratory systems, and imaging systems. Monitor integration environments, troubleshoot issues, andensure data accuracy and reliability across all connectedsystems. Customize and enhance integration solutions to meet thespecific needs of healthcare providers and ensure compliance withregulatory standards. Work closely with clinical and technical teams, including ITstaff, clinicians, and external vendors, to gather requirements,implement solutions, and address technical challenges. Maintain the security and integrity of data exchanged betweensystems in compliance with HIPAA and other healthcareregulations. Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, includinginterface specifications, system workflows, and user manuals. Provide training and support to end-users and IT staff toensure efficient use of integrated systems. Participate in or lead projects related to healthcare systemintegration and data exchange initiatives. Monitor project progress and report any deviations from theplan to the IT Director. Ability to craft non-standardized approaches when standardscannot be applied. Performs similar or related duties as assigned. Knows fire, disaster, and safety procedures and regulationsconcerning the work area

Requirements:
Formal Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, healthcare analytics, orrelated field is required (A combination of experience and/orcertifications may be considered).

Work Experience:

3 years to

Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations:

A minimum of one is required within the first year: Health Level Seven International (HL7) Fast HealthcareInteroperability Resources (FHIR) or Clinical Document Architecture (CDA)

Highly Preferred:

Information Systems Audit and ControlAssociation (ISACA) COBIT 5 Foundation , AXELOS ITIL Foundation orother related certification approved by leadership and HR.
