Infrastructure Engineer Position Available In Palm Beach, Florida

Description Position Summary:

The City is seeking a well-rounded Infrastructure Engineer with a strong background in server administration and project management. This role focuses on maintaining, optimizing, and securing our core IT infrastructure, including virtual environments, storage systems, networking, disaster recovery, and enterprise communications. Candidates should have broad hands-on experience across multiple infrastructure platforms, be self-directed, and excel at planning and delivering technical projects.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Maintain and manage virtualization environments using VMware and Hyper-V + Administer and support Cisco UCS servers and enterprise networking systems + Design, implement, and maintain disaster recovery and backup solutions using Veeam + Manage storage environments including Pure Storage, NetApp, and Nutanix platforms + Configure and support Fortinet and Cisco networking equipment, ensuring high availability and security + Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and execute infrastructure projects with strong project management practices + Support and administer RingCentral communication systems + Oversee the management and maintenance of Canon copiers across City departments + Evaluate and recommend system improvements to enhance performance, security, and efficiency + Document infrastructure architecture, processes, and configurations + Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues quickly and effectively + Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers as needed + Ensure systems comply with internal standards and external regulatory requirements

Requirements Required Qualifications:

+ Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, Server Administrator, or similar role + Strong understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) + Proficient in managing Cisco UCS, Fortinet, and other enterprise-grade networking equipment + Hands-on experience with backup and disaster recovery tools (Veeam preferred) + Experience with enterprise storage platforms: Pure Storage, NetApp, Nutanix + Solid understanding of enterprise telephony and communication systems (RingCentral) + Ability to manage multiple projects with strong organizational and communication skills + Familiarity with multi-vendor environments and cross-platform integration + Exceptional troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities + Strong documentation and technical writing skills

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Industry certifications such as

VCP, CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Microsoft Certified:
