Infrastructure Engineer Position Available In Palm Beach, Florida

Description Job Summary:

The Infrastructure / Level 3 Help Desk Technician plays a critical role in the support and maintenance of the organization’s IT infrastructure. This senior-level position provides advanced technical support for complex issues, leads infrastructure initiatives, and collaborates with internal teams to ensure systems are secure, stable, and scalable. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in networking, systems administration, endpoint management, and enterprise troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Provide expert-level technical support for escalated hardware, software, and network issues. + Manage and maintain core IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and networking equipment. + Administer and troubleshoot Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 services. + Monitor and maintain system performance using tools like Zabbix, SolarWinds, or similar. + Support and manage virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox). + Deploy and manage security systems including firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.), antivirus, and patch management tools. + Collaborate on infrastructure projects such as upgrades, migrations, and implementations of new technologies. + Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles. + Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and propose long-term solutions. + Serve as a point of escalation and mentor for Level 1 and Level 2 technicians.

Requirements Requirements:

+ Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft, Cisco, VMware) strongly preferred. + 3-5 years of experience in a Level 3 support, systems administration, or infrastructure engineering role. + Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and networking protocols. + Hands-on experience with virtualization, firewalls, VPNs, endpoint management (e.g., Intune), and enterprise backup solutions. + Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Python) and automation tools is a plus. + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. + Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
