Genesis10 is seeking a Systems Engineer for our client in theFinancial Services Industry. This is anticipated to be a 3-monthRemote Contract opportunity . Working hours are 10.00 am – 7.00pmEST Rate $80.00 – $100.00 DOE W2

Only candidates availableand ready to work directly as employees will be considered for thisposition. Essential Duties and Responsibilities EnsureKeep-The-Lights-On tasks are handled with priority and efficiency.

Provide Tier-2 support for incidents and problem tickets.

Collaborate and provide network security guidance to other teams asneeded. Responsible for up-time, monitoring, reliability, stabilityand policy maintenance of supported systems. Participate in highpriority calls and own problem management tasks. Produces andmaintains current description and documentation of knowledgemanagement, policy configuration, including tracking anddocumenting any changes to policies, procedures, and operationaltasks. Ability to install new networking equipment usingpre-defined instructions. Provide suggestions to Engineering andArchitecture teams on current and emerging technologies Bringtechnical knowledge from external sources and incorporate ideas forcreating efficiencies / continuous improvement. Providerecommendations for Business Continuity Planning and DisasterRecovery, participate in updating and maintaining network plans.

Contribute into and own ITIL processes involving change management,audit tracking, etc. Promote service offerings to grow globalinfrastructure to meet business and technology needs. Be availablefor rotational on-call support, as required, on a 24-hour x 7 days/ week basis. Performs other duties and responsibilities asassigned. Knowledge of LAN/WAN network technologies and relatedprotocols. Firewall Technologies (NGFW, SASE) F5 Load Balancing(LTM, GTM) Experience establishing and troubleshooting IPSecTunnels. SSL VPN (Global Protect, F5 Big IP Edge Client) SDWAN andSASE technologies (preferably Cisco Viptela and PrismaSDWAN/Access) Wireless networking technologies (802.11x). Familiarwith automation, monitoring and reporting tools (SolarWinds, SevOneetc.) Understanding of Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, SASE, etc.).Converged voice and data infrastructures. Quality of Service (QOS)design and configuration.

TDM / IP PBX

configuration (Avaya, ZoomPhone, etc.) Common network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

Knowledge of service management frameworks (ITIL) desirable.

Fundamentals of network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP,BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, SD-WAN and VLANs, along with theirimplementation and troubleshooting.
