Test Engineer The following information provides an overview of the skills,qualities, and qualifications needed for this role. We are currently looking for an ambitious Senior System SoftwareIntegration Engineer (Contractor) to join our Endovascular Roboticsbusiness within Advanced Therapies. We are a global technologyleader in robotic-assisted vascular interventions. We believe thecombination of endovascular robotics, image guidance and dedicateddevices will change the way neurovascular procedures will be donein the future, enabling better outcomes, and enabling our customersto provide better access to care. As a Senior System Software Integration Engineer (Contractor) youwill be responsible for:

  • Software Installation & Integration:

    Install and configuresoftware on a variety of systems, ensuring successful integrationwith hardware and networking components.

  • System Rework & Maintenance:

    Perform system rework aftersoftware updates, releases, or patches, including troubleshootingand resolving integration issues.

  • Design Transfer for
Manufacturing:

Support software projectmanagement, development of software configuration instructions,SBOM, and managing software test tools for design transfer tomanufacturing.

  • Networking:

    Configure and manage network settings for softwaresystems, including IP configuration, network security, and firewallrules.

  • Cross-Platform Management:

    Handle system tasks in both Linux(Ubuntu) and Windows environments, ensuring smooth softwarefunctionality across platforms.

  • System Validation & Testing:

    Authoring test methods andprotocols, conduct system validation tests post-installation toensure stability, functionality, and performance alignment withengineering specifications.

  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with software developers, networkengineers, electro-mechanical engineers, system integrationengineer, and QA teams to support integration and resolve technicalissues.

  • Documentation:

    Maintain detailed records of installationprocedures, configuration changes/configuration management, andtroubleshooting steps. Required skills to have for the success of this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering,or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in system software integration,medical device or regulatory environment, and design transfer tomanufacturing.
  • Proven experience in software installation, system integration,and system rework following software releases.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols and networkconfiguration.
  • Expertise in Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash,PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) andvirtualization technologies.
  • Knowledge of software version control systems (e.g., Git) andCI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps).
  • Fundamental engineering skills, including problem-solving,systems analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate withcross-functional teams.
  • Experience with automation tools for system configuration andsoftware deployment is a plus.
