SUMMARY:
Under general direction, serves as a point of contact for the infrastructure services that host the firm’s applications and technologies. Defines, develops, maintains, and advises on the effective use of information technology at Kforce.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the automation of management using code to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of infrastructure technologies and cloud-based applications.
- Assist in the deployment of observability and automated healing mechanisms to achieve service-level objectives.
- Provide technical expertise and consulting services supporting the technical infrastructure.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for projects and support (e.g., Technical Requirements, Technical Design, Procurement Specifications, Technical Flow Charts, Implementation plans, etc…).
- Assist in implementation planning activities including Technical Impact Analysis and assessment.
- Provide technical leadership and direction to operational teams.
- Perform Lead Site Reliability Engineer role on small projects or programs. May perform Project Lead role on smaller operational projects.
- Serve as technical advisor to the Solutions Architect. Assist Solutions Architect to ensure appropriate technical documents are identified and created and that all appropriate technical tasks are identified.
- Support the enterprise’s IT strategies. Ensure integrity of supported technologies and that they align with architecture governance.
- Champion work aimed at maturing and improving support functions and processes to support the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Assist in various engineering efforts. May provide project Lead responsibilities on smaller operational projects.
- Perform problem determination and recommended action to recover business systems in the event of an outage.
- Advise in the evaluation and selection of new cloud infrastructure and technology tools.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline and 1 to 4 years experience serving in an engineering related discipline or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient knowledge and in-depth understanding of how business and technical processes integrate required. Proven experience with one or more of the tools listed including but not limited to the following: Azure Cloud, AWS Cloud, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible, Git, VMware, Windows, Linux, Kubernetes, SQL, etc. Familiarity with System Development Life Cycle processes required.
CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES
Microsoft Certified:
Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Terraform Associate, Red Hat Certified Specialist, or similar.
- ITIL and/or MOF best practices certifications a plus.

Must be willing to work nights and weekends as needed to perform maintenance and support tasks. Must be willing to participate in an on-call support rotation.
