United States Job Title:

Power BI platform engineer (Onsite)

Responsibilities:

Platform Management:

Maintain and optimize the Power BI Service (capacity settings, workspaces, gateways, etc.).

Security and Governance:

Implement and maintain role-based access control (RBAC) and row-level security (RLS).

Integration and Support:

Work closely with data engineering teams to connect Power BI with enterprise data sources (Azure, SQL Server, etc.).

Automation and DevOps:

Use tools like PowerShell, Azure DevOps, or REST APIs to automate deployment and administrative tasks.

Documentation and Training:

Develop and maintain user documentation, usage guidelines, and platform standards.

Monitoring and Optimization:

Analyze performance metrics and recommend/report optimizations for datasets and reports.
Qualifications
Update knowledge on Microsoft Fabric Platform architecture
Hands on experience with Python
knowledge on Informatica task flow
Expertise in GitHub CI/CD
Azure Networking – Subscription, resources, virtual network and subnets
Azure Cloud knowledge
Expertise in Power BI Platform Architecture & Development
Must have 8+ experience in Power BI

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until May 16, 2025. The annual salary for this position is between $101,000 – $186,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
