Job Description
Genesis10 is currently seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer Consultant with our client in the transportation industry in their Atlanta, GA location. This is a 12 + month contract position.

Seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer Consultant

Responsibilities:

Serve as a IT Sr. System Engineer for the Monitoring/Observability team
Configure, manage and support enterprise-level solutions thepany uses to monitor application and infrastructure environments on-prem and AWS cloud
Assist in migration of monitoring solutions including agent installation, grouping, reporting, alerting, and integrations with Event Management and ITSM solutions to ensure application performance and availability in accordance with client standards and business requirements
Implement and manage Dynatrace environments for infrastructure, applications and cloud services
Set up and configure dashboards to provide visibility into system health and performance
Regularly reviewing existing observability solutions and making rmendations for improvements
Maintain and update existing scripts used to monitor system and applications on Unix and Windows servers
Develop custom monitoring solutions utilizing network, server, application performance and log analytics tools along with necessary custom scripts to meet current and future observability requirements
Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement observability solutions that align with business needs
Responsible for researching and analyzing telemetry (events, alerts, traps, incidents, logging) to identify trends and gaps, produce reports, and/or make rmendations

Requirements:

5 years of experience in engineering monitoring solutions supporting Event Management process
3+ years working experience with Dynatrace architecture and best practices
Expertise in deployment and troubleshooting Dynatrace One Agent and Active Gates
Experience in Dynatrace SaaS environment
Able to analyze application performance telemetry collected by Dynatrace to identify potential issues and to resolve application performance issues
Working experience with AWS CloudWatch
