Lead Systems Engineer Job Description:
Lead Systems Engineer positions offered by CCI Corporate Services LLC (Atlanta, Georgia). Develop solutions for a virtual cloud environment and identify opportunities for automation. Lead lifecycle management and capacity planning for virtualization platforms. Design, implement, maintain, monitor and support virtualization platforms. Employ DevOps principles and tools to automate processes. Lead cross-functional projects as a virtualization infrastructure subject matter expert. Document designs, policies, and procedures. Mentor and train team members. Create automated reports and keep appraised on new technologies and training. Contribute to strategic direction by providing input on new technologies, best practices and procedures. Participate in 24×7 on-call support rotation.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field and 6 years of experience in the position offered or 6 years of experience using Vmware in an enterprise environment. Also requires 6 years of experience: performing scripting and coding; performing system analysis, design, and optimization; and executing projects through Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean or Waterfall methodology. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience as stated, the employer will accept a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 4 years of experience as stated, or a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 1 year of experience as stated. Employee reports to office in Atlanta, GA. Position may work from home, but must live within commuting distance of stated office. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently. Compensation includes a base salary of $138,983 – $181,400. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program. The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company’s needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
