As a Platform Engineer (VDI) you will have the challenge of implementing, and supporting appropriate virtual desktop solutions for Equifax using Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop (v1912 and later preferred) and Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps and Desktops. Independently lead problem determination in multiple technology domains, engaging with business units, application teams, and other infrastructure teams as required. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members and consultative guidance to other teams and business units as appropriate. extension support. This position is located in Alpharetta, GA. This resource will have to be local Atlanta and will work in our Alpharetta based Equifax location.

Corporate Return To Office expectations:

Onsite weekly requirements – Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week. Due to the nature of Platform Engineer / Support based roles, this role may require additional onsite responsibilities outside of normal business hours as needed. What you’ll do Engineer, implement, and support appropriate virtual desktop solutions for Equifax using Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop (v1912 and later preferred) and Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps and Desktops. Independently lead problem determination in multiple technology domains, engaging with business units, application teams, and other infrastructure teams as required. Provide mentorship to junior team members and consultative guidance to other teams and business units as appropriate. You will manage any incidents or vulnerabilities fixes and work required to implement changes off hours (when necessary) Driving direction of a specific platform or application including creation of new environments, software upgrades, and tuning. Provide software deployment services for QA and production environments. Direct application performance monitoring and tuning. Be actively involved in protecting the uptime and performance of the application. Provide knowledge and expertise in the development and operational support and maintenance for a range of applications and tools. Define the updates to the production environment. Responsible for the installation, set up and support of third party software running on internal managed environments. Designing and setting up deployment procedures, setting up robust processes, monitoring production systems and managing configuration. What experience you need 5 to 7 years experience in related desktop / VDI or other platform engineer positions 5 to 7 years experience providing Tier 3 escalation support (prefer to see experience supporting both legacy and current version of Citrix Products). Advanced knowledge relative to administration, engineering, design, and implementation of Microsoft Windows technologies.

Will include:

Windows Server, versions 2012R2 and 2016; version 2019 a plus Windows 10 Active Directory Group Policies Hyper-V, including failover clustering, System Center Virtual Machine Manager What could set you apart AA or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred (not required) Active Cloud Certification or related platform certifications preferred Advanced knowledge relative to administration, engineering, and implementation of virtual desktop infrastructure-related technologies, to include: Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 1912 and later, Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS), Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), Citrix Netscaler / ADC / VPX, Citrix Workspace Environment Management (WEM), Citrix App Layering, Ivanti Application Control, Ivanti Environment Manager Experience with public cloud-related technologies a plus, to include: Google Cloud Platform, Citrix Cloud, “Infrastructure as code” technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, etc., Familiarity with immutable infrastructure concepts Adept skills with vDisk management, application packaging, and Powershell scripting. Extensive application debugging experience utilizing Citrix tools, Microsoft System Internals Tools, Wireshark or other packet capturing tools, and ControlUp.
