Outcomesand Activities:

Design and develop software and improve existingcode to make it more efficient to detect bugs in the code Writeunit-tests and validate your software against acceptance criteriaAuthor, apply and advocate for team coding, documenting and testingstandards Conduct impact analysis to proactively identify impact ofa change across multiple applications Learn the business processdomain to better support the business Experiment and test ideas,validate assumptions against needs, reach conclusions and recommendsolutions Lead code reviews and communicate application changesDocument code and projects so others can easily understand,maintain and support Debug the problems which arise in productionand propose effective solutions within the application and acrossmultiple applications Read, write and review design documentsContribute to team’s sprint commitments and actively participate inour Agile practices Lead continuous learning activities to improvedesign and code quality as well as to increase application domainknowledge Participate in the talent selection process Guide andreview the code, designs and documentation of less experiencedsoftware engineers

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, orclosely related field of study; or equivalent work experienceMinimum 5 years of software engineering experience or comparabledepth of experience Strong understanding and use of one or moreobject-oriented programming languages and design patterns Practicalexperience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) includingAgile/SCRUM and Waterfall Practical experience in data modeling,design and messaging Experience working on mission-criticalenterprise class applications Demonstrated ability to coach andmentor less experienced team members Willingness to participate inan on-call rotation

Preferred:

Experience in the lead roleoverseeing technical direction of a team of software engineeringtalent Advanced understanding of IDEs, have the ability to navigatethrough them quickly and leverage advanced features to improve yourperformance In-depth usage and creation of application programminginterfaces (API) and frameworks in their particular field: JSON,Rest/SOAP based Web Services, JUnit, Jenkins and Bitbucketpreferred Experience in API security, analytics, throttling,caching, logging, request and response modifications Experience increating

REST API

documentation using Swagger or similar toolsdesirable Ability to use DDL to create database objects andrelationships, construct advanced queries, and optimize queryperformance Financial services industry experience

Ability to challenge the status quo and influencestakeholders to create innovative solutions Be collaborative withother team members, seeking a diversity of thought to meet businessoutcomes Bring a strong understanding of relevant and emergingtechnologies, provide input and coach team members and embedlearning and innovation in the day-to-day Ability to communicatecomplex technical information (both verbal and written) to alllevels, including senior leadership

Target Compensation:

Acompetitive base salary range from $130,047 – $190,736. Thisposition is eligible for an annual variable cash bonus, between 7.5- 15%. Final compensation within the range is influenced by manyfactors including role-specific skills, depth and experience level,industry background, relevant education and certifications.

Candidates who reside in the following major metropolitan areas maybe eligible for a premium on top of the posted range based on theirspecific zone: San Francisco, Seattle, Boston, New York City, LosAngeles and San Diego.
