Who You Are:

As an M365 Engineer at QTS, you will oversee the management and optimization of our Microsoft 365 platform, ensuring it remains robust and scalable. You will drive technological advancements for our QTS user base, leveraging your technical expertise and leadership qualities. Your strong communication and teamwork skills will enable you to collaborate effectively and efficiently across teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned.
Hands-on management, administration and troubleshooting of M365 platform and extended services.
Design and implement Microsoft 365 online solutions, including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive for Business
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure that solutions are designed with best practices in mind that are scalable, resilient, and highly available
Oversee the entire lifecycle of changes to M365 services, from requirements gathering and development to testing and deployment, while ensuring effective communication and change management to maintain a stable environment for all end users.
Own and manage the platform and accompanying policies and procedures in partnership with others, driving operational efficiencies
Partnership with Information Security to deploy and manage security tools, policies and enhancements and operate in accordance with established policies and compliance frameworks
Assist with the QTS AI vision, support implementation and use of Microsoft CoPilot for business use cases
Participate in the evaluation, deployment, and management of new technologies
Act as subject matter expert for related technologies
Assist and mentor other team members in their strategic and operational roles
Utilize strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact and communicate throughout the organization with individuals of varying technical abilities
Act as technical point of contact to resolve escalated issues while maintaining professionalism and courtesy
Stay up to date with the latest developments in Microsoft 365 and related technologies
Analyze existing processes and governance to identify and implement improvements
Collaborate to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

US Citizenship required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 6 years of progressive IT experience in systems administration/engineering roles at an enterprise level
At least 3 years of experience with Administration of M365 Applications (Azure, Entra, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Intune, Purview, Copilot, etc) also including design, deployment, configuration and optimization
Deep understanding and experience in Identity and Access management leveraging Azure/Entra ID/AD including group/role based access.
Strong understanding of general IT security and network/cloud computing concepts
Knowledge of Power Platform

  • PowerApps, PowerAutomate, Power BI
    Solid experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, VB Script, Python)
    Enthusiastic learner with the ability to teach and mentor teammates and cross-functional partners
    Excellent communication, presentation and interpretation skills, with the keen ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
    Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
    Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
    Detail-oriented, organized and quality-focused, with a customer-centric mindset.

Understanding of on prem active directory infrastructure

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Successful experience as an M365 Architect or Engineer role and possess the following technical skills: O365 Conditional Access, Exchange Online, Tenant to Tenant migrations, M365 Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), EntraID/Azure AD, MFA (RSA, Duo, Yubikey), and MDM (Intune)
Applicable Microsoft Certifications
Copilot for M365 and/or Copilot Studio
Experience with ServiceNow
AI/ML based Teams Bot development and/or implementation
Experience with Atlassian suite of tools
Agile/Scrum experience
ITSM / ServiceNow experience
Experience working in a data center environment
