This individual is recognized as an expert in Enterprise and functional architecture and Platform Engineering within the organization and works under minimal guidance from their management. Leads a team of architects and engineering teams to define and build the next generation platforms and architectural governance model for the company. This position reports to the Chief Technology Officer. Job Responsibilities Assesses wider industry technology trends (e.g., artificial intelligence, machine learning, internet of things, Cloud, DevOps, Microservices, API Management and Domain based solutioning) and best practices to identify best-in-class technology and architecture direction, and is responsible for the establishment, development and promotion of standard architectures/frameworks for a specific architectural discipline (e.g., business, data, application, infrastructure, security, platform, web, user interface (UI), etc.). Have hands-on experience implementing large scale

ERP, HCM

systems. Be proficient in Field Technologies (Time tracking systems, work management systems, Asset Management Systems to name a few).

Additional responsibilities include:

Define and implement the Enterprise Architecture Practice Contribute towards the improvement of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) practice and processes Create technology and business architecture roadmaps that reflect the company’s strategies and goals Define and establish engineering best practices Architectural technology standards within their specific discipline. Governance of architecture standards, including defining reference architecture standards Helps with technology due diligence for potential M&A activities A hands-on leader willing to get into coding, technology due diligence and evaluation Mentor other architects/developers on architectural frameworks and best practices Technology strategy and Innovation Drives the development of the enterprise architecture and engineering process and should keep abreast of the latest technologies and opportunities in his/her knowledge area. Must understand business needs and apply smart technology strategies for competitive advantage for

Sparus Holdings Integration/Solution Architecture:

Creates the technical vision and provide thought leadership for all integration technologies Develops, creates awareness for, and monitors adherence to integration standards and will utilize these standards to design solutions that meet operational requirements, such as scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, flexibility, availability, and manageability Requires a deep understanding of integration technologies and practices as well as the business acumen to develop overarching system designs Works with various IT teams to champion the adoption of patterns, platforms, and tools to support the usage and conformity of the integration architecture

Data Architecture:

Plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s data strategy and architectural framework in alignment with business goals Helps design the conceptual, logical and physical enterprise data models to enable efficient data capture, processing, distribution and visualization by users Defines and enables a responsive reporting framework implementation Optimizes data creation and data quality processes to reduce cycle time, reduce manual effort, improve end-user experience and realize cost savings Leverages AI and ML to drive analytics, insights and next best action from the data

Platform Engineering:

Defines and builds the next generation platform to support a myriad of needs from integration to API centralization across all portfolios Leads a team of engineers to build, scale, and adopt common APIs, tools, and systems supporting several other products and portfolios Continues to drive innovation and modern technologies to simplify and streamline effort required to build new capabilities Basic Qualifications-Education, Experience & Skills Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering with 15+ years professional experience or a master’s degree with 10+ years professional experience Five or more years of direct supervisory experience Experience with architecture (application and data), business continuity, various technology stacks and a breadth of technology topics Track record of ability to connect technology decision trade-offs to business outcomes Expert-level skills in technical knowledge and practical execution domains Experience with building high performing delivery teams Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to explain technical concepts at all levels and align the organization on complex technical decisions Experience with Agile methodologies and root cause analysis Active coach and mentor whose goals are to grow and maximize team’s potential Ability to work through ambiguity – demonstrate confidence when making difficult decisions, leading through adversity with a focus on the right business outcome Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree highly preferred Prior experience with Field technology solution in both Gas and Electric domains Cross-industry experience building and leading technology teams Experience in modern infrastructure technologies and Cloud Service providers Conversant with key platforms for enterprise applications, that helps the enterprise scale Technical evaluation and management of vendors Brings a very strong innovative mindset Compensation Salary is commensurate with experience.
