Job Summary:

KBR is seeking a highly motivated Test Engineer tosupport the DoD International AIMS Program Office at Robins AFB,GA. This position involves working with a high operational tempoteam focused on Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) certificationefforts to ensure interoperability between DoD, NATO, and partnernation weapon systems. The Test Engineer will perform variousengineering tasks related to IFF certification, including datacollection, technical analysis, and communication with externalprogram offices. The role requires travel to government andcommercial sites for testing and data collection.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Perform engineering tasks related to IFF certification to establishand maintain interoperability of air, land, and sea weaponsystems. Travel to government and commercial sites to witness bench,platform, and operational testing of weapon systems, collectingdata points to evaluate performance against DoD technical standardsand test requirements. Conduct technical data analysis of IFF systems and preparecomprehensive system-level evaluations, including the review andinterpretation of supplementary test data (e.g., antenna patterns,EMI/EMC reports, Software Version Description documents,interrogation management schemes). Communicate with external program offices to collect required testdata, coordinate test plans, evaluate test results, and determineif product design and/or integration meets DoD standards andperformance expectations. Monitor the progress of assigned projects from initiation throughcertification, ensuring continuous communication with allstakeholders. Identify all failures, deviations, or discrepancies againsttechnical standards and test requirements in a discrepancyreport. Utilize technical writing abilities to prepare final certificationpackages, enabling government customers to make decisions on systemsuitability for certification. Monitor and manage the progress of multiple projects andcontinually update internal databases. Move, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Travel out of the local area up to 25% of the calendar year ifneeded. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Standard Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field and 4 years ofexperience in lieu of formal education 8 years of experience withIFF systems and certification process with be required Strong technical writing and data analysis skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with DoD, NATO, or partner nation weaponsystems. Familiarity with DoD technical standards and test requirements. Excellent communication and project management skills.
