The Radar Systems Engineer is responsible for generating newand updated specifications for radar development programs whilefollowing the systems engineering processes for updating,reviewing, and releasing the specifications. The Radar SystemsEngineer ensures that the System Capabilities and Requirements areappropriately flowed from the System Spec through the Radar Systemand Subsystem specs to the design and verification teams. You willbe responsible for creation, review, and submittal for approval ofall Radar Performance, Functional, Hardware, Interface,Environmental, Manufacturing, and Fabrication Requirements changesthat leverage Radar Software Capabilities. You will also beresponsible for but is not limited to: support of conceptdevelopment, testing, integration and verification activities, andcoordination between design, software, and systems requirementsteams. Do:

Generate specification changes thatreflect the new and obsolescence development programs related toradar upgrades and maintenance Collaborate with Software andSystems Test teams and the USG customer on radar capabilitiesdriven by new hardware and algorithm development Provide technicaloversight for the execution of Radar Systems RequirementDevelopment Collaborate with the Systems Engineering Lead and ChiefEngineers to ensure that the Hardware, Software, and SystemRequirements are all being met in a consistent manner SupportIndependent Research and Development and other sources of internalfunding for future Radar capability upgrades and innovationsSupport internal and external Program and Gate Reviews includingSystems Requirements Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, CriticalDesign Reviews, and Test Readiness Reviews. Support the IndependentReviews (IRs) that precede each gate.

Qualifications You Must Have:

: Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology,Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevantexperience Experience with tactical air defense systems, productline development processes, and software development Experienceinterfacing with external customers Experience across the productdevelopment life cycle Excellent communications skills, verbal andwritten Ability to obtain

DoD Secret Clearance Qualifications WePrefer:

Existing DoD Secret Clearance Radar Knowledge Experiencemaking challenging technical decisions and setting prioritiesExperience designing, implementing and testing radar waveforms andsignal processing algorithms Familiarity with Raytheon IntegratedProduct Development System (IPDS) and gating processes Ability totravel domestically and internationally

Onsite:

Employees who are working inOnsite roles will work primarily onsite. The salary range for thisrole is 82,000 USD – 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is agood faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTXconsiders several factors when extending an offer, including butnot limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities,a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, andkey skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits,including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, lifeinsurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k)match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules,employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parentalleave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependentupon the specific business unit as well as whether or not theposition is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
