. As Senior Systems Engineer , you will own thedigital thread that turns brilliant ideas into flight?readycapability for Major Release 2 (FY 25 – 27) —driving requirements,architecture, and model?based systems engineering across hardware (Nomad ), software ( Smith ), and operations ( Watch ).

Architect & Model the System?of?

Watch interactions with the Digital Infrastructure(DI), SATCOM links, and cross?domain solutions. Ensure everyrequirement traces to a verification method and mission thread,supporting CJADC2 and Operational Imperative 2 objectives.
Requirements & Baseline Management Elicit, decompose, and managestakeholder needs in DOORS?NG (or equivalent); chair requirementsreviews, delta boards, and configuration?control boards. Maintainthe Technical Baseline and drive change packages through digitalworkflows, preserving model / document synchronization. IntegrationLeadership Partner with IPT leads to translate digital designs intoIntegration SIL builds; resolve cross?domain, crypto, power, anddata?bus interface issues quickly. Feed lessons learned back intothe model, ensuring the next sprint starts with an accuratebaseline. Verification & Validation Alignment Collaborate with Test& Flight?
Test teams to develop the Verification Cross?
ReferenceMatrix (VCRM) and ensure early “shift?left” validation of safety,cyber, and performance requirements. Provide pre?flight technicalconcurrence for Interim Authorizations To Test (IATTs) andair?worthiness packages. Risk, Metrics & Reviews Maintain thetechnical risk register, conduct root?cause analyses, and briefburn?down plans to senior DAF leadership. Feed schedule, maturity,and performance metrics into the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)and digital dashboards. Mentorship & Culture Coach mid?levelengineers on MBSE best practices, Agile/SAFe workflows, andDevSecOps culture in a classified environment. Foster acollaborative, “model?first” mindset across Government and industryteammates.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customerrelated requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. B.S. inSystems, Electrical, Aerospace, Computer Engineering—or relatedfield and 15 years of systems engineering on DoD C4ISR, avionics,or open?architecture programs, including requirements management,architecture, and integration or a Masters plus at least 12 yearsof experience. Active TS/SCI clearance. Proficiency with SysMLmodeling tools (CAMEO/MagicDraw, Rhapsody, or equivalent) andrequirements databases (DOORS, Jama). Demonstrated experienceleading multi?disciplinary design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) andmanaging technical baselines in a digital?engineering environment.
Solid grasp of MIL?STD avionics power, data links (Link?16/22,TTNT, OMS/UCI), SATCOM, Type?1 crypto, and
RMF / IA
compliance.
Desired Skills:
INCOSE CSEP
/ ESEP or
DAU ENG/SAE
Level IIIcertification. Prior work on ABMS, CJADC2, or otheropen?architecture airborne networking efforts. Familiarity withDevSecOps pipelines (Platform One / Iron Bank) and automated modelvalidation (ModelCenter, Cameo Simulation Toolkit). Experiencebriefing
SES / GO
audiences and shaping acquisition strategydocuments (AS, SEP, SEMP, TEMP).
Pay Range and Benefits :

The proposed salary range for this position is:
Salary Range:
