Headquarters Job Summary:

The IT Technical Staff member will be responsible for managing and maintaining the networking infrastructure and software applications within the production unit. This role involves troubleshooting, optimizing, and ensuring the smooth operation of all IT systems. The individual will also work closely with third-party vendors and consultants to implement and support various IT projects and report the status and progress to the headquarters. Maintains and improves operational effectiveness of all applications that support the company’s ordering and production processes. Achieve high availability of systems by using available tools and resources effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
Networking:

Design, install, and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to ensure minimal downtime. Monitor network performance and implement upgrades as necessary.

Software Applications:

Install, configure, and maintain software applications used in the production unit. Provide technical support and training to staff on software applications. Ensure software applications are up-to-date and secure. Learns company’s ordering and manufacturing production systems, including Great Plains, TOE/TOPS, and FASTtrak Works with departments to understand operational applications and processes Provides end-user support to issues and problems. Troubleshoots software systems using logs/other evidence/tools to locate and fix issues permanently Works with a sense of urgency to quickly resolve issues High ownership of all issues; sees work items through to full resolution. Understands complex data structures, XML/CSV files, that drive ordering and production systems

Workstation and Printer Management:

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to workstations and printers. Perform regular maintenance and updates on workstations and printers. Ensure all workstations and printers are functioning optimally. Provides basic computer troubleshooting, for PC, network, servers, phone, backup systems, or will interface with outside vendors, or the corporate office to resolve problems Creates user accounts and performs access control Maintains high situational awareness for all security protocols and threats Maintains, installs, or configures system applications for company use, including RFID or other manufacturing systems Creates standard operating procedures (SOP) and systems documentation Collaboration with

Third Parties:

Coordinate with third-party vendors and consultants for IT projects and support. Evaluate and recommend third-party solutions to improve IT operations. Manage contracts and service agreements with third-party vendors.

Reporting:

Prepare and present regular status reports on IT operations and projects to headquarters. Document IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience in network administration and software application support. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Extensive experience with IT systems, networks, and related technologies Solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security Knowledge of CRM and Great Plains Software, preferred Knowledge of barcoding or RFID tools, preferred Excellent communication skills, both for internal and external communication. Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Programming skills in VB.Net, MS Access, SQL server, preferred

Windows Experience Preferred Skills:

Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or similar. Experience with cloud services and virtualization technologies. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
