As a Principal Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining workstation systems and infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, software developers, and IT professionals, to ensure our workstation solutions meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and usability. Leads multiple, highly complex projects on the deployment or upgrade of RGA technology utilizing internal and external resources across multiple disciplines. Functions as lead and mentor for technical team members on technology strategies and configuration. Requires depth or breadth of expertise in own specialized discipline or field.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES

Design, implement, and maintain the organization’s application systems and/or IT infrastructure. Provide an architectural framework for information system development, maintenance, and enhancement efforts. Understand user and process requirements and ensure those requirements can be achieved through high quality deliverables. Work closely with developers and engineers to develop road maps for applications, align development plans, and to ensure effective integration among information systems and the IT infrastructure. Monitor technological advancements to ensure that solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards as well as emerging business requirements. Understand the interactions between systems, applications, and services within the environment, and evaluate the impact of changes or additions. Analyze systems and perform usability testing to ensure performance and reliability, enhance scalability, and meet security requirements. Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION
Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent experience

Preferred:

Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS)

EXPERIENCE
Required:

10+ years in IT architecture, production support, or related systems experience

Compensation Range:

$123,500.00 – $184,050.00 Annual Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan.
