Jackson, MS Role and Responsibilities:
The Senior Systems Engineer provides advanced technical expertise and support for the company’s enterprise network and related components. This position will need to have advanced problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of network hardware, software, and personal computer administration Your responsibilities will include: Provide design and support for essential IT components, including servers, storage solutions, backup systems, automation and containerization technologies, virtualization, and overall infrastructure.
Provide advanced level administration and troubleshooting of personal computer hardware and software solutions.
Assist with the configuration and administration of on-premises and cloud technologies in support of critical business applications.
Evaluate new hardware and software solutions for use within the company.
Maintain advanced knowledge regarding industry trends and technologies.
Automate tasks through scripting and monitor system performance through scripts or 3rd party tools
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; or a combination of education and experience
Six years of Information Technology Experience
Information Technology experience is any experience gained while in an information technology role or job.
This experience may include:
Web, mobile, or backend development
Network, server, or PC administration
Database Administration
Automated, manual, or behavioral testing
Systems or application analysis
Technical support
Cyber defense or security operations
System Monitoring and Operations
Advanced skills and knowledge of personal computer hardware and software.
Advanced skills and knowledge of Local Area Networks, Windows Servers, Virtualization, on-premises and cloud technologies, enterprise storage and backup solutions, and VoIP and mobile technologies.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
High level of problem-solving skills
