Jackson, MS Role and Responsibilities:
The Systems Engineer provides intermediate to advanced level technical support to PC users throughout the building in the form of network, database, email, or other systems used throughout the company.
Your responsibilities will include:
Provide intermediate to advanced level installation, administration, and troubleshooting support of personal computer hardware and software solutions in use throughout the company.
Assist with the administration and support of network infrastructure components such as switches, WiFi devices, server operating systems, virtualization, and data storage and backup systems.
Assist with the administration of on-premises and cloud technologies in support of business applications.
Evaluate new hardware and software for use within the company.
Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; or a combination of education and experience
Four years of Information Technology Experience
Information Technology experience is any experience gained while in an information technology role or job.
This experience may include:
Web, mobile, or backend development
Network, server, or PC administration
Database Administration
Automated, manual, or behavioral testing
Systems or application analysis
Technical support
Cyber defense or security operations
System Monitoring and Operations
Working knowledge of personal computer hardware and software.
Working knowledge of local area networks, Wi-Fi connectivity, network and server virtualization, Windows server and desktop operating systems, on-premises and cloud technologies, and mobile devices required.
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to function effectively in the workplace as exhibited through one’s integrity, courage to act and communication skills
