JOB SUMMARY
The EPIC Integration Engineer at North Mississippi Health Services (NMHS) is responsible for the analysis, design and implementation of system-to-system interfaces, including the integration of internal NMHS applications and 3rd party products. This role engages specialized technical knowledge, such as Epic Bridges concepts, HL7 specifications and familiarity with interface engine technology, to support implementation of integrated departmental, enterprise, and external application solutions. The EPIC Interface Engineer employes organizational and communication skills to drive successful project completion, as well as identify and raise opportunities for process and system improvements to promote optimal system function and use.

- JOB•FUNCTIONS•| | — | • Owns responsibility for the analysis, design and implementation of system-to-system interfaces including the integration of internal NMHS applications and 3rd party products.
- Demonstrates solid application engineering skills.
- Adheres to defined processes in the implementation and support of systems integration solutions.
- Develops tactical and project plans to implement integrated departmental, enterprise and external applications solutions.
- Executes task assignments within established timeframes and complies with requirements for status reporting.
- Attains expert technical competency required to support integration project deliverables and to support the integration environment.
- Provides expert knowledge of the NMHS enterprise integration tools.
- Utilizes standards and procedures to ensure uniform high quality in all projects.
- Supports multiple concurrent work efforts as assigned.
- Educates and coaches other team members.
- Works with minimal supervision in support of team initiatives.
- Provide rotating 24/7 on-call support for issues with interfaces that occur outside of normal business hours
QUALIFICATIONS

Technically skilled in healthcare data formats (HL7, FHIR, EDI, etc.) Required N/A
Working knowledge of HL7 message types and segment field mapping (ADT, ORM, ORU, DFT, MDM, etc.). Required N/A
Working knowledge of healthcare data exchange formats such as XML, CCD, CDA and DICOM, as well as healthcare data standards such as LOINC, CPT, ICD-9/ICD-10, and SNOMED Required N/A
