Job Description
The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performance Azure cloud environments. As a key member of our IT team, you’ll collaborate with engineers, project managers, and leadership to drive impactful cloud solutions, ensuring smooth operations and continuous improvements in our cloud infrastructure. •This is a hybrid role, requiring 2-3 days onsite•
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Design and maintain cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, networks, and storage. Optimize cloud resources for performance and cost-efficiency, ensuring scalability. Provide expert troubleshooting and support for Azure-related issues. Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions to safeguard data and ensure uptime. Support CI/CD pipelines, enhancing automation and agile workflows. Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders on cloud projects. Ensure the security and compliance of Azure resources by monitoring and applying best practices. Serve as an escalation point for IT support and internal teams. Maintain security best practices for system deployments, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance. Perform other duties as needed.
COMPETENCIES
Expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud platform Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities Proficient in scripting (Python, PowerShell) Knowledge of networking (VPCs, subnets, load balancers) Excellent communication and collaboration skills Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, Vault, GitHub) Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment
DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
College degree in CIS, Computer Science, a related field, or relevant training and experience 7+ years building infrastructure and troubleshooting issues 1+ years Linux experience preferred 3-5 years of relevant experience in cloud infrastructure engineering.
