Overview:

SimVentions, consistently voted one of Virginia’s BestPlaces to Work, is seeking a Navy Weapons System Model BasedSystems Engineer. This position is for an engineer to work as partof a team performing model based ssytems engineering and/or missionthread analysis. The focus of the MBSE task is modeling of thesystem, tying the design into the requirements, and helpingestablish a robust digital engineering environment. The missionthread task involves learning and modeling concepts so thatdecision makers can better understand capabilities, thus empoweringthem to make programmatic decisions involving the weapons system.

Clearance:

An Interim Secret Clearance is required for thisposition. Applicants selected will be subject to a securityinvestigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements foraccess to classified information. US Citizenship is required toobtain a clearance.

Requirements:

A B.S. in a STEM discipline andan interim secret clearance are minumim criteria for consideration.

Responsibilities:

Work as part of a team to develop models of atactical Navy weapons system, primarily using Cameo Activelyparticipate in meetings, some of which will be classified Followestablished work prcesses to incorporate updated models Performresearch and analysis on complex issues (example: how to linkrequiremetns in DOORS to architectures in Cameo and how ot getchanges in Cameo back into DOORS) Conduct independent research onemerging tools, applications, and plug-ins for to support theexpansion of our digital engineering solution Provide well writtenand esily comprehensible instructions to peers on how to performtasks Evaulate and provide inputs to kill chain analysis

PreferredSkills and Experience:

Proficient with Cameo or MagicDrawExperience with DOORS is advantageous but not required Concreteanalytical skills Demonstrated experience researching solutions tocomplex problems

Compensation:

Compensation at SimVentions isdetermined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to,the candidate’s experience, education, training, securityclearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, aswell as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contractspecific requirements. The projected annual compensation range forthis position is $72,000 – $140,000 (USD) depending on experienceand expertise level. This estimate reflects the standard salaryrange for this position and is just one component of the totalcompensation package that SimVentions offers.
