Roles and Responsibilities
Ownership includes both quality assurance and control in a fast paced, team-based engine assembly production environment.
Ability to troubleshoot defects and problem solve with cross functional teams across the site to determine root cause of significant quality issues impacting multiple engine programs and leverage corrective actions across engine programs (read across).
Provide support to group of Work Station Owners (WSO) by leading monthly sitewide WSO meetings and supporting WSOs with any needed items, including WSO suggestion forms, development, and WSO training matrix completion.
Partner with support staff and technician teams to identify high risk areas and implement sustainable corrective actions.
Communicate across the organization and broader enterprise lessons learned and improvements instituted.
Use proven methodologies to lead analytical and design activities.
Lead and ensure chemical compliance for the site and serve as the shelf life focal, partnering with sourcing to resolve any concerns.
Be an active member of Design Boards review, understand technical issues and drive improvements.
Be an expert in GE Aerospace’s Quality System and the ability to mentor others.
Perform internal audits to support site quality compliance and regulatory requirements.
Present to customer, senior leaders, and cross functional teams, specific technical and quality interconnections, designed to contribute to overall business strategy and improve customer satisfaction.
Own, create, revise, and participate in quality system document updates and maintain document review schedule.
Use LEAN methodologies to drive regulatory compliance, optimize quality systems that support field action, improve product quality, and reliability.
Partner with customers and suppliers to improve specific quality issues.
Identify, drive, and partner with the teams to implement projects that improve overall production quality and throughput.
Act as expert resource for site WSOs for First Article Inspections (FAI) and Significant Process Substantiation (SPS)
Manage site Special Process capabilities and recurrent training, lead Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP), and problem solve staffing and specialized equipment and resource issues.
Act as site administrator for ETQ systems in Aviation Policies and Procedures (AP&P) and Corrective Action (CAPA).
Partner with individual shop program teams to support continuous improvement efforts based on opportunities identified through daily management.
Become a site focal for driving SMS implementation and progression.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Quality)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Management
Desired Characteristics

Experience in APQP, Advanced Product Quality Planning
Expertise in AS9100 knowledge
