Durham, NC (first choice) Westlake TX or Merrimack NH – option if no qualified NC candidates Required Skills Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science.) required, master’s degree or equivalent experience a plus8+ years of hands-on experience deploying and/or supporting highly distributed multi-tiered systems at scale.

Hands-on experience with

EKS, AKS OR

Rancher Kubernetes Service container orchestration.

qualifications:

Experience operating and implementing distributed & highly concurrent service-based architectures, including microservices, containerized services, and/or serverless architecturesThought leadership and an ability to handle production incidents.

Observability skills such as Datadog, Splunk, SLI/SLO and other tools.

Some databases and using SQL (like Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, or Dynamo DB) requiredProficiency with Data Processing and ETL (Control-M & Informatica)Experience with tools like: GIT, Maven, Jenkins, uDeploy, JIRA, Artifactory, Sonar.

Proficiency with scripting languages like Python, Java, Bash or Power Shell preferredExperience with CI/CD pipelines using technology such as Groovy, Jenkins, JenkinsCore and Urbancode Deploy preferredExperience with ITSM (Incident, Change & Problem Management)Excellent at communicating and building relationships across teams and technology partnersConfidence to work independently and with minimum supervision
