Contract to Di Description ACARA Solutions and our client in McLeansville, NC. have a contract-to-hire position available Advanced Systems Engineer (Management and Test)
$63.00-$65.00 per hour
As an Advanced Systems Engineer supporting Seaborne Platform Systems, you’ll work on large-scale integrated systems involving hardware (mechanical/electrical) and software. You’ll be responsible for CONOPS development, requirements management, systems modeling, and testing across the full system lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage system requirements using DOORS.
Create and execute HW/SW test plans, test cases, and procedures.
Support system integration, verification, and validation activities.
Lead CONOPS development and contribute to system design documentation.
Collaborate across disciplines to ensure technical consistency and compliance.

Required Skills:

Strong background in systems engineering for integrated HW/SW systems.
Experience with DOORS, test planning, and system-level testing.
Understanding of software design and testing principles.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with MBSE tools (e.g., MagicDraw) and SysML diagrams.
Familiarity with DoD systems, CONOPS development, and system testing/reporting. Job Requirements Required Skills /

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics.
Minimum 5 years of experience with Software systems engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience with DOORS and requirements management process and tools.
Minimum 5 years of experience with developing software/hardware test plans/test cases/test procedures.
Minimum 5 years of experience with Software Design and Testing.
Minimum 5 years of experience with the systems development life cycle Minimum 5 years of experience with interfacing within and across program sub-teams. Preferred Skills /

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree Agile experience.
Good Systems Engineering background with integrated systems that include hardware (mechanical & electrical) and software/controls.
Experience with complete HW/SW systems.
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), using MagicDraw or similar tools, to develop Block Definition Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, Activity Diagrams.
Experience conducting system testing and generating test reports.
CONOPS development.
Proficiency in requirements management, system testing, and system modeling tools.
Ability and commitment to quickly come up the learning curve – mastering program terminology, processes, methods, best practices, and not being afraid to ask questions.
Good team player mentality and ability to work well in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team environment.
Excellent communication skills.
