We are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the design, integration, and governance of hybrid infrastructure environments across AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and on-premises data centers. A key focus of this role will be driving the incorporation of Generative AI (GenAI) capabilities into enterprise platforms to ensure scalability, performance, and security.
This is a hybrid role based in either Charlotte, NC or Hartford, CT, with an expectation of working onsite Tuesday through Thursday each week.
Key Responsibilities
Design and oversee hybrid infrastructure solutions spanning public cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform) and on-prem environments.
Develop reusable architectural frameworks, blueprints, and standards to support hybrid and cloud-native strategies.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Cybersecurity, and Application teams to deliver resilient, scalable solutions.
Architect enterprise-level integrations of GenAI technologies using platforms such as Vertex AI, Amazon Bedrock, and open-source LLMs.
Advise business and IT stakeholders on infrastructure modernization, cloud adoption, and AI integration opportunities.
Monitor and evaluate technology trends across hybrid cloud, edge computing, and infrastructure automation.
Drive optimization initiatives targeting cost efficiency, operational agility, and performance enhancement.
Maintain architectural artifacts, including capability models and decision records.
Guide and mentor engineering and solution architecture teams on best practices for hybrid environments and GenAI enablement.
Translate emerging industry trends into actionable enterprise capabilities and initiatives.
Promote simplification, innovation, and responsible technology advancement across business and IT ecosystems.
Lead architecture planning and governance for major initiatives within assigned domains.
Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical blueprints (roadmaps), leveraging automation where feasible.
Oversee critical architectural initiatives to ensure strategic fit and technology consistency.
Track and report architecture health and maturity through defined metrics and KPIs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of experience in enterprise or solution architecture, with at least 5 years focused on hybrid cloud environments.
Expertise in both AWS and Google Cloud Platform platforms, with practical deployment experience.
Strong knowledge of core data center technologies, including virtualization, networking, and storage.
Demonstrated experience integrating GenAI and ML solutions into enterprise platforms (e.g., vector databases, LangChain, LLM orchestration).
Familiarity with modern infrastructure practices including Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps.
Relevant certifications (preferred): AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Google Cloud Professional Architect.
Experience with Kubernetes, service mesh, and orchestration frameworks in hybrid contexts.
Understanding of data governance, AI ethics, and MLOps best practices.
Prior hands-on involvement deploying GenAI solutions in real-world business workflows (e.g., customer service, internal knowledge bases).

Compensation
The salary range for this role reflects external market data and may vary based on experience, performance, and technical proficiency. Compensation includes a competitive base salary and may also include bonuses, performance incentives, and other employee recognition programs.
