This client, in the financial services industry, is looking to hire a Google Cloud Engineer who can design and deploy scalable data pipelines using GCP services. Experience with GCP services such as BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions is essential. You’ll work closely with Data, Application Development, and DevOps teams to implement cloud solutions that align with business goals. This is a 12 month contract that is Hybrid (onsite 3 days per week). Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in Data Engineering
Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Functions
Proven ability to design and deploy end-to-end data pipelines on GCP
Proficient in Python and Bash scripting
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab
Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture and data modeling
Desired Skills & Experience
GCP Professional Data Engineer or Cloud Architect Certification
Experience in financial services or other regulated industries
Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Deployment Manager)
