- Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Technology as part of API Enablement team under Chief Tech Technology Office ( CTO).
As a Senior Software Engineer within CTO, you will take a lead role in supporting our Technology initiatives and drive the build and rollout of new applications, tools, platforms, and services within our cloud environments. You will be empowered to always take the initiative, propose ideas, and innovate to enable modernization and Cloud adoption.
- In this role, you will:
- + Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments + Contribute to large scale planning of strategies + Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments + Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures + Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements + Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals + Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff •
Required Qualifications:
- + 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education + 4+ years of development experience with Java Web/Enterprise projects

Desired Qualifications:
- + Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field + 4+ years of Java, Python, OpenShift containers, and other relevant technologies + 4+ years of experience with object-oriented design patterns and development + 3+ years of experience with Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM + 3+ years of experience with APIGEE platform + 3+ years of experience with complex business system integrations + 2+ years of experience with GenAI, RAG and Agents.
+ 3 + years of experience using tools like Jenkins/Harness, GitHub, and testing automation tools like selenium or Karate + 3+ years of experience with core web technologies including HTML5, JavaScript and jQuery + 3+ years of experience with relational databases, or data modelling + 3+ years of experience with web services such as REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML + Experience with message queues (e.g., MQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka)
