Job Description

Senior Infrastructure Engineer Premier, Inc. seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer in Charlotte, NC.

Duties:

Provide hands-on support of systems, data center operations, production support, and escalation teams. Provides 24-hour on-call support for problem analysis and resolution to system problems on a rotational basis. Receives questions by phone or e-mail, resolves problems, and gives information to callers. Review, implement, and test availability strategy to validate business and service uptime requirements are met. Establish standards, document infrastructure component change procedures and communicate impact to stakeholders. Develop and maintain as-built documentation, network drawings, network configurations, and operating procedures. Work with Development Iteration Teams in an agile environment including but not limited to: attending stand ups, product meetings and involvement with sprint tasks. Lead the technical deployment for new system initiatives, beginning at the business requirements stage, to determine and deliver the technical components necessary to build and deploy the new system. Attend vendor conferences and presentations to observe demonstration of system software. Maintain and update relevant components of the IT disaster recovery plan. Perform recovery testing and maintain disaster recovery procedures. Telecommuting (remote work) is permitted. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems or related field plus 6 years of experience in related occupations. Requires 6 years of experience in the following: Proper provisioning of access to storage containing PHI consistent with HIPAA standards -this skill requires active ability to delegate least-privileged access to files/folders/applications stored on physical storage arrays, located in multiple datacenter locations; Managing patching for RedHat Linux devices using Satellite via selected scheduling methods to ensure least amount of possible downtime, ensuring compliance with customer SLAs; Developing and maintaining high-level architecture and visual diagrams of physical and cloud storage infrastructure; Building and deploying new technical storage hardware and infrastructure consistent with globally recognized industry standards; Implementing firmware and patching updates to various storage hardware systems, including vulnerability management on legacy systems to ensure proper security posture is maintained within incorporated SLAs. Telecommuting (remote work) is permitted. 40 hours/week.
