Overview:
We are seeking a skilled System Engineer with a strong blend of application management and system engineering expertise to support enterprise-scale initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with middleware technologies, Windows and Linux environments, and security compliance, particularly within large, fast-paced enterprise settings. Day to
Day:
Research, design, engineer, implement, and support security technologies in Linux environments
Manage and enhance both vendor and internally developed enterprise applications
Support the software/application lifecycle and enforce security principles
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including senior leadership in GIS and key business stakeholders
Perform vulnerability patching, server OS support, and application hosting
Execute tasks related to system deployment, application management, and middleware support
Must-Haves:
5+ years of Systems Engineering and Application Deployment experience
Proven Application Management and Support background
Expertise in Windows Server and Linux OS
Strong understanding of server OS support and vulnerability patching
Familiarity with Cisco routing and network infrastructure
Experience with databases and query languages
Security certifications (at least one): CISSP, Security+, or SANS
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Prior experience in large enterprise environments Job Requirement
