Nutanix Vmware ESXi Description Team:

This team consists of 8 engineers.

Environment:

15,000 users 1,500 virtual servers 1,000 Windows and 300 Linux Nutanix primarily for servers and Checkpoint and Z-Scaler firewalls. They are also implementing Azure into their cloud space. 2 datacenters, one in Morrisville, and one in Chicago. This Infrastructure Engineer will have a mix of technologies and skills. They will work with the other Windows engineers to support the whole infrastructure space. They have everything from legacy Windows 2012 to Windows 2022 with the majority 2022. This engineer should have experience within all of the Life Cycle Management LCM within Windows. This engineer will need to have experience with PowerShell scripting to help automate future tasks. DNS is the most important skills this engineer can have. They will help to build new systems for deployment, troubleshoot any issues that arise, and advance the environment. This is not an administrator support role. This engineer needs to have experience with Windows on an enterprise level. They will be project delivery focused over any support that is needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications They will help to write a process and create a personalized playbook within this space for future employees. They should be comfortable with Azure administration; how to handle compute, and general Azure polices as they are moving to the cloud in 2024-2025.

Nice to have skills:

any experience with load balancers, F5 is currently in place. Comfortable with active directory and VMware ESXi. Finally, Nutanix, specifically hypervisors. SCCM/Intune they will help to build out a semi lab. Technical areas of expertise should include and not be limited to the following: o Windows operating systems o Scripting and automation using PowerShell o Server virtualization and networking with Vmware, Nutanix, or similar platforms. o Security best practices o Deployment in hyperscalers such as Azure and AWS Experience Level Expert Level
