We’re a growing team of diverse, talented &passionate engineers inventing and delivering technology to lightup the “world’s computer!” We are looking for a highly motivatedPrincipal Firmware Engineering Manager to lead a FirmwareEngineering team in the US. You will lead a talented team ofFirmware and Software Engineers who implement and design a varietyof Firmware Solutions for Azure. Besides people management, youhave experience with SoC Architecture and Design, SoC bring-up, andcreation of solutions that lie at the intersection of multiplesubsystems across firmware and hardware. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, ComputerScience, or related field AND 7 years technical engineeringexperience OR Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, ComputerEngineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 10 yearstechnical engineering experience OR Bachelors Degree in ElectricalEngineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or relatedfield AND 12 years technical engineering experience OR equivalentexperience. 5 years of experience building and leading anEngineering team. Experience with working from early concept of SoCArchitecture, designing, and delivering on new technologies acrossthe entire platform.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

This position will be required topass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer andevery two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

Thesuccessful candidate should have experience with some or all thefollowing: Peripherals such as PCIe, memory interfaces, OSprimitives, memory management, scheduling, interrupts, threading.

Experience with Platform initialization, Board support packageintegration, low level drivers for peripherals such as PCIe, I2C,eMMC, SPI, USB, UARTs as well as Memory Management, Scheduling,Interrupts and multi-threading. Experience with FW Architecture andDesign. Experience building and leading an Engineering team forData Center Products. Experience with working from early concept ofSoC Architecture, designing, and delivering on new Data Centerclass technologies across the entire platform. • The typical base pay range for this role acrossthe U.S. is USD $155,800
• $277,200 per year. There is a differentrange applicable to specific work locations, within the SanFrancisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and thebase pay range for this role in those locations is USD $202,400
• $303,600 per year.
